Kenneth Clayton Botkin

He was born to Alice and Kenneth E. Botkin in West Lafayette Indiana, on May 4, 1946. Ken was a 1970 graduate from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science.

Ken had a long career in the oil and chemical industry. He began his career in the oil industry with Standard Oil of Ohio, where he advanced through the ranks and found his passion in technical chemical sales. Ken later worked for several companies including Celanese Chemical Co., General Chemical Co., and Cape Horn Methanol USA. Ken also worked as a consultant in the chemical industry, where he advised chemical industry clients in the areas of customs duty matters and commodity chemical supply litigation. Ken was a 32nd Degree Member of the Masonic Lodge AASR.

Ken is proceeded in death by his wife of 52 years Judith Lynn Elliott Botkin, his parents Alice and Kenneth E. Botkin, brother Martin L. Botkin. Ken is survived by daughter Lisa (Barry) Hickman of Midlothian, Texas, grandchildren Ashley Marie and Thomas John Hickman, sibling Mike (Stephanie) Botkin of Lafayette, Indiana, in-laws Donna (Robert) Sisley of Tucson, Arizona, Gary (Gail) Elliott of South Bend, Indiana, Becky (Mike) Price of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
