Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on September 19, 1937, Kenny eventually made his way to Texas, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School of Port Arthur Texas and earning his Associate’s degree from Lamar University in Beaumont Texas. On June 15, 1963, he married the love of his life, Linda Webb. Together, they shared 62 years of a deep and happy marriage that served as an anchor for their entire family.
A master of his craft, Kenny spent his career as a diesel mechanic and instructor for Mustang Tractor and Equipment Company. After Mustang he worked in the marine industry for three decades with most of that time at National Marine as a Port Engineer and later Fleet Manager. His talent for understanding how things worked extended far beyond his professional life; at home, he was the ultimate handyman with a passion for "tinkering" and a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of old cars. A faithful member of the Woodlands Church of Christ, Kenny’s quiet strength and helping hands will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Faughn, and his siblings, Cheryl Savant and Frank Faughn.
His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, Linda; his children, Wendi Faughn and Craig and his wife Belinda Faughn; his grandchildren, Reagan and his wife Madison Hoelscher, Kendall Hoelscher, Trinity Faughn, and Craig Faughn II; and his great-grandchild, Rhett Hoelscher.
A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, Grand Hall, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384, US, on April 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
