Lenora Skinner, a beloved resident of Montgomery, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born in Houston, Texas, on December 14, 1953, to Arick and Pansy Blossom Haddox. Lenora graduated from Aldine High School and went on to build a life rooted in love, dedication, and family. She shared more than 25 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Harry Skinner, and together they created a lifetime of memories marked by devotion and companionship.
Lenora had a distinguished career with Southwestern Bell (later AT&T), which she began at the remarkable age of 18. Through decades of dedication and professionalism, she built a legacy of hard work and loyalty, remaining with the company until her retirement at 55. Beyond her professional life, Lenora was deeply committed to service. She was a devoted volunteer with Telecom Pioneers, a network of volunteers across Canada and the United States focused on creating immediate, tangible improvements in local communities. Her generosity of time and spirit reflected her lifelong belief in giving back and helping others whenever she could.
Lenora was truly one of the sweetest people anyone could know. Her gentle heart, warm smile, and kind words made others feel instantly at ease. She thought of others first in all that she did, offering compassion, encouragement, and support. Lenora’s kindness was not only felt but remembered, and her loving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Known for her frugal and careful approach to life, Lenora had a sharp mind and an incredible work ethic, always looking for ways to save and invest wisely. Yet, behind this practical exterior, Lenora harbored a secret thrill—she had a passion for the lights, excitement, and unpredictability of Las Vegas. On her trips to the casinos, Lenora set aside her prudent ways and embraced the excitement and thrill of the games.
Lenora was preceded in death by her son, Steven Connell; her husband, Harry Skinner; her parents Arick and Pansy Haddox; and her siblings, Randy Haddox, Mike Haddox, and Jane Barrett. She was also preceded in death by her precious dog, Sugar.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Haddox; nieces Brittney Gryder (husband Matt) and Kathryn Moseley (husband Bart); nephews Hunter Haddox, Randy Haddox, James Barrett (wife Sandra), and Jeffrey Barrett. Her legacy continues through her great-nieces Brynn Blossom, Savannah Moseley, Savannah Haddox, Penelope Haddox, and Jessica Barrett; great-nephew Alex Moseley; and great-great-nieces Aria Barrett and Rylie Barrett.
A visitation will be held on January 6, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
