After graduating from Paschal High School, Martha earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Wesleyan University and a Master’s Degree in Education from North Texas State University. She worked in the health insurance industry for Aetna, and when not spending time with her family, she enjoyed plants, being outdoors and wildlife.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her uncle and guardian, Madison Pruitt, and brothers, Arthur Hokett and Everett Hokett. She is survived by her husband, Bill Holcomb; sons, David Holcomb and John Holcomb; four grandchildren, Noah, Caleb, Ben, and Emily Holcomb; her sister, Carol Bantz; brother, Paul Pruitt; cousins, Dana, Michael and Jeff; and brother-in-law Bob Holcomb.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. A reception will follow in the Willowcrest Room of Forest Park the Woodlands Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Martha’s family request memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer Association.
