
Matthew Barnette, 94, of Conroe, Texas, passed away September 12, 2011. He was born May 29, 1917 in Tioga, West Virginia to the late James Oscar and Arminta Roberts Barnette. Matthew is also preceded in death by his first wife Cloteen S. Barnette and second wife Verda E. Barnette. He is survived by his daughters Cornelia Kerich and husband Joel, Sandy Daniel and husband Michael; sister Lillie Paul; granddaughters Rebecca and Allison Daniel, Amy Lee and husband Jason, Elaine Collins and husband Matt, Valory Kerich-Patterson and husband Jemarh, Rene Kratzat and husband Simon; great grandchildren Judah and Tristen Lee, Eva, Alastor and Owen Collins, Izabella, Nadya and Saul Kratzat; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
Matthew loved the Lord and was a long-time member of the Church of God (Anderson, IN). He retired from Union Carbide in Texas City, Texas.
Funeral Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 16, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 12:30 P.M., at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
