

Micah Marks was born September 1, 1990 in Lubbock, Texas. Micah is survived by two daughters, Blakelynn Shea Marks and Briley Grace Marks. Micah’s girls brought enormous joy and love to his life, which he returned through his creative imagination of storytelling, nicknames, teasing, hugs and playfulness. He loved and adored his girls. Micah is also survived by his mother, Melissa Marks, two sisters, Megan Callihan and Devny Hernandez, brother-in-law, Chris Hernandez, his niece, Makenna, and nephews, Kade, Matix, and Case.
At the age of 9, Micah’s family moved to Katy, TX. He had a competitive spirit and was very athletic. Micah maintained an active lifestyle, working out, playing pickle ball, co-ed softball and eventually coaching his nephews’ flag football team, as well as working as a personal fitness trainer. He ultimately made a career in sales having sold knives, security systems, lawn care, cars, and eventually settling on solar energy and roofing systems. If it exists, Micah could sell it.
Micah’s interests were diverse and he studied and read continuously. He loved a good debate on current events and conspiracy theories. He had a love for metal music and was a talented guitar player. He dabbled in graphic design and was a tattooer in his spare time. He said he worked in sales so he could play in the arts.
Micah was an active member of the recovery community in Houston, known for his dedication and compassion. He inspired countless individuals with his story and provided unwavering support to those around him. His journey through recovery was a testament to his strength and resilience. Always ready to lend a hand or share his experience, Micah’s commitment to sobriety and love for the community left a lasting impact.
Micah accepted Christ at a young age, which acted as the foundation for his sensitive and generous nature, as reflected in his friendships and family relationships.
A celebration of life for Micah will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Please arrive at 1:00PM for an opportunity to visit with the family.
