

Mike was born on January 28, 1945, in Breckenridge, Texas. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School and continued his education at Midwestern University before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
On September 14, 1985, he married Kathy Rhey Koch, beginning a loving partnership that spanned more than 40 years. Mike built a distinguished career in the restaurant industry, ultimately serving as Division President for Golden Corral Corporation. He was also an active leader in his profession, serving on the boards of both the Oklahoma Restaurant Association and the Houston Restaurant Association.
Mike had a deep love for golf, fishing and hunting and cherished any opportunity to spend time outdoors. Above all, he treasured his family and the time they shared together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jacqueline (Stephens) Pierce, his brother-in-law, Jack Hawkins, and his infant brother, Scotty. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; his children, Scott Pierce, Rustin Pierce (Elizabeth), Michelle Miseldine (Matt), Caroline Johnson (Ashton), and Kellie Brady (Ryan); his beloved grandchildren, Aylin, Myers, Easton, Samuel, Finnley, Josie, and Andrew; and his sisters, Susan Hunt (Gerald) and Jan Hawkins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at HopePointe Anglican Church in The Woodlands, Texas, followed by a reception in the atrium.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation, or a charity of your choice in Mike’s memory.
