Michelle Dieterich Miller, 46, of Spring, Texas, was taken from us tragically on September 19, 2016. She was born on June 18, 1970 in Midland, Texas. She was a beautiful soul who was plagued by mental illness in the latter years of her life that eventually left only a flicker of the once brilliant flame that was her life.
Michelle was a paralegal the majority of her life and was known and respected as a consummate professional in her field. Following her passion for the law, she enrolled in Sam Houston University late in life and graduated at the top of her class with a BS in Criminal Justice.
Michelle was always a champion for animals who were victims of abuse or neglect. She also was instrumental in starting the first chapter of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) in Slidell, Louisiana. She accepted Christ as her savior in 1991 when she was baptized at Lakewood Christian Church, Waco, Texas, and remained deeply committed to her faith throughout her life.
She leaves behind her best friend and former husband, Jeffrey Miller of Spring; her mother Carolyn Bartlett Key and her husband Rick, of Conroe; father Gene Dieterich and his wife Frances, of Waco; brother Christopher Brown, of Humble; sisters Donna L. Lené and Amy Dieterich, of Waco; grandparents Maynard and Winnie Spitz, of Austin; her nephew and three nieces of Waco.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chase Miller.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held for her family and close friends. Memorial gifts in memory of Ms. Miller can be made to the Trisomy 18 Foundation, online at www.trisomy18.org or by mail 4491 Cheshire Station Plaza, Suite 157, Dale City, VA 22193, or to your local animal shelter.
