Services for Nicholas Merrick LaFleur will be Monday, July 17, 2023 in the Grand Hall at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Michelle Hall will officiate. After the service, the family invites you to join them for a reception in the R.L. Wood Event Room.

Nicholas Merrick LaFleur beloved son, father, grandson, cousin and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2023 at the age of 31. His family is shocked and deeply saddened by their loss.

Nicholas was born February 4, 1992 to Gregory Lee LaFleur and Alaina Lindsey Murphy in the Woodlands, Texas. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugarland, Texas in 2010, he attended college in Grand Junction Colorado with a major in exercise science and massage therapy.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Jo Lindsey; and paternal grandfather, Eugene LaFleur.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two children, Ezekial James and Poppy Elizabeth, whom he loved so very much; his father, Gregory LaFleur; his mother, Alaina Murphy and husband Donald; grandparents, Charles Lindsey, Loretta and Clifford Shoemake, and Mary Helen LaFleur; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Nick was a curious soul who had much love for his children, animals, and nature. He wanted to understand why things were and was always interested in understanding people, relationships, and how to heal and serve. He recently decided to return to massage therapy so he could enrich others lives. He will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation be made in Nicholas’ name to the charity of your choice.
