PAMELA RAE BROWN, 65, born May 13, 1947, passed away quietly at her home the evening of June 25, 2012. Pam was a native Houstonian, growing up in the Spring Branch area, and was a member of the first graduating class of Spring Woods High School in 1965. She attended Sam Houston State Teachers College (now Sam Houston University) graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. Pam began her professional career with Texaco Oil Company where she initially became interested in land management. Taking classes on her own initiative, she achieved accreditation as a Certified Landman, spending the remainder of her career in this capacity.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvan Oswald Brown and Loyce Quinn Brown of Houston, Texas. She is survived by her sister Sylvia Brown Battle and brother-in-law Marshall Lee Battle, Sr. of McKinney, Texas, nephew Marshall Lee Battle, Jr., his wife Robyn White Battle, and great nieces Katherine Hart Battle and Marissa Leigh Battle of Allen, Texas, nephew Stephen Michael Battle, Sr., his wife Tamara Williams Battle, great nephew Stephen Michael Battle, Jr. and great niece Abigail Elise Battle of The Colony, Texas, and numerous cousins and family members. She is dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 PM.
