Paul was a very proud native Texan and graduated from TCU in 1972. As a freshman, he met the love of his life, Sally. They were married in 1971 and raised three sons. Paul went on to earn a Masters Degree in Transportation and Logistics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. His various jobs in logistics moved the family around the country, but his final position with USA Industries returned him and Sally to Houston. Once back in Texas, he could indulge his passion for TCU sports.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; sons, William and Scott, and daughter in law, Lindsey. He is predeceased by his eldest son, Christopher. He is also survived by his mother, Edith Axelson; brother, David Axelson; and sisters, Diane MacAskill and Susan McKeown.
A memorial service will be held on June 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the Robb Chapel of The Woodlands United Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, Texas.
