Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Carol Brown Anderson, and his three daughters, Nancy Mallis (Dave), Trish Anderson (Mike) and Sue Lynch (Michael), four grandchildren Fran Mallis (Jared), Jeff Mallis, Alexis Lynch and Kyle Lynch (Morgan) and a great grandson, Wesley.
Bob was born in 1931 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, along with his identical twin, Jack. Four years later, another set of twins were born - his brother George and sister Judy Peters. Bob was predeceased in death by his brothers Jack and George. Bob grew up in West Grove, Pennsylvania; however, due to the passing of his father at a young age, he attended Girard College in Philadelphia where he was class valedictorian, he excelled in soccer and went on to earn a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1953 with a degree in Accounting. At Penn, he continued his soccer career, became captain and earned All Captain status. After college, Bob continued to play and coach recreational soccer for years.
Bob began his career at the Du Pont Company in Wilmington, Delaware in the Explosives Department and after 34 years relocated to The Woodlands, Texas in 1987, where he continued his career at Cain Chemical, eventually retiring from Occidental Petroleum.
Bob and Carol were one of the original members of Skyline Swim Club in Wilmington, Delaware, where he was an active member and had a prominent role as clerk of course at swim meets. He embraced his role as a girl dad and was very involved in his daughters activities and schooling; he never missed an opportunity to chaperone a school trip. He took pride in his grandchildren and loved being part of all they did.
He will be missed by family and friends and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
