Robert Stockmeyer of Houston, Texas died Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He was born June 12, 1928, the only child of Robert Earl Stockmeyer and Katherine Marie Tuttle. Bob served in the army in World War II and later graduated from the University of North Carolina. He spent his entire career with American General Life Insurance Company and continued consulting for them in retirement. Bob is preceded in death by his second wife, Lois Loyd Ashmore and this third wife Eva Minter. He is survived by his sons, Kurt Stockmeyer and Eric Stockmeyer both of Houston and by Lois’ children Billy Ashmore, James Ashmore and Susan Ashmore and her son Evin Davis. And by Eva’s son Gary Minter and wife Katherine and their daughter Reagan, daughter Alyson Chensasky and husband Alex and their children Noah and Alanna and by son Steve Minter. A funeral will be held on Monday, March 26, 2011 at 10:00am at Forest Park the Woodlands Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one’s choice are appreciated by the family.
