

Robert Eugene Young, age 62, of Magnolia, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 10th, 2022. Robert was born July 14th, 1959 in Oakland, California but grew up in Bon Terre Missouri and St Louis Missouri. He married Jan Elizabeth Scott on July 10th 1992 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Robert worked for U.S Customs for 35 years first as a Tactical flight officer aboard the P-3 surveillance plane 87-94. During this period the effort net over 90 major drug seizures. In July of 1993 the largest cocaine seizure of 3.6 metric tons was attributed to Roberts team operating off of the Galapagos islands. He later in 94 became a CBP officer at Bush intercontinental airport and then further moved to the Port of Houston inspecting ships and their contents once they arrived in the United States. Robert didn't have any Hobbies but very much enjoyed keeping with current events and having an ice cold beer while sitting in his favorite chair.
He was survived by Zachary Nathaniel Young and Daniel Elliot Young his two children, He also has two sisters Donna Sowards and Carol Mahurin. Unfortunately no grandchildren yet but Three Australian Labradoodles Helen, Claire and Oakley.
A visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A committal service will occur Monday, February 21, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
