Shirley J. Blachura

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Shirley Blachura, our beloved great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother. She passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023 at the age of 94. She will be greatly missed by all of us who were fortunate to have her in our lives.

Shirley was a wonderful person with a heart full of kindness and compassion. She always put the needs of others before her own and was a faithful caretaker in every sense of the word. She loved her husband Eugene dearly and was devoted to him throughout their lives together. Even after his passing, she continued to carry his memory close to her heart.

As a mother, Shirley was loving and supportive, always there to lend a listening ear or a helping hand to her children, Jim and Judy. As a grandmother, she doted on her grandchildren Evin and Alex, and as a great-grandmother, she cherished her time with Ethan and Ella. Our memories of her are full of happiness, laughter, and the occasional card game dispute.

Shirley was a woman of many talents and was always up for a challenge. She could fix almost anything and was always happy to lend her skills to those in need. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and watching her favorite shows. She also loved to cook and was famous for her delicious meals and cookies, which she always shared with those she loved. She had a sweet tooth and enjoyed an occasional drink of Baileys. It didn’t take much to make Shirley happy. The love and time spent with friends and family were all she needed. Even though she learned early to get by with little, she was infinitely generous, providing for others before herself.

Shirley lived a long and happy life, caring for those important to her and always going out of her way to improve their lives. Her kind and gentle spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
