Steve Thomas Portz. age 56, born November 4,1955 in Hazel Park Michigan passed away Thursday March 01, 2012 in Conroe Texas at the Conroe Regional Medical Center. He was a resident of Montgomery Texas. Steve served as a Deacon for the Community of Christ Church in Humble Texas. He loved his family, had a huge heart and sense of humor. His hobbies included golfing, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Teri ( Willard ) Portz of Montgomery Texas. 3 children, Dana (Christopher ) Collins of Yuma Arizona, Joshua Portz of Austin Texas, Leigha ( Ryan ) Ruffin of Spring Texas, 3 Grandchildren, Christopher Collins, Brianna Collins and Brody Collins all of Yuma Arizona. Mr. Portz is also survived by his mother Marie Portz of Newaygo Michigan, Brother David Portz of Newaygo Michigan, Sister Donna (Levi) Moses of St. Ignace Michigan, Michael (Jerry) Portz of Prudenville Michigan, and Sister Patricia (Richard) Walker of Warren Michigan.
Steve was predeceased by his father William Portz, Brother-in-law Art Boucha and sister-in-law Barbara Portz.
Funeral arrangements and Burial are being directed by Forest Park- The Woodlands 18000 I- 45 South The Woodland, Texas 77384 . Visitation is Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service is 10:00 am Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Community Of Christ Church 21800 Rayford Rd Humble Texas 77338. Interment will follow at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
