Steve was such a wonderful Dad/Pops. He was kind, thoughtful, generous, caring, dedicated, such a good sense of humor, so laid-back, and a very sentimental man. He was truly a good man.
He is survived by his daughter, Briana Stuckey; son-in-law, Bryan Stuckey; granddaughter, Sailor Herriman; step-granddaughters, Emalee Stuckey and Ellayna Stuckey; his brother Thomas Anderson, sister-in-law Joan; and nieces Nicci Anderson, Melissa Haun, and Caitlin Hanson. Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Lucille Anderson (Nelson), and his father, Carrol Anderson.
Steve went to Kewanee High School where he ran track and played baseball. He pursued higher education at Western Illinois University and received a degree in Law Enforcement.
After graduation, Steve worked as a juvenile probation officer in Illinois and held the same position in Texas. Later on in life, Steve worked as a Manager over the Environmental Services department for MD Anderson, which he retired from. After retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at many organizations.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 I-45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384 on June 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
In honor of Steve, his loved ones invite friends and family to join them in celebrating his life at the memorial service. To honor Steve’s love of the Chicago Cubs, you are welcome to wear Chicago Cubs t-shirts, jersey’s, hats, etc. to the memorial service if you would like.
