Thomas Scott Dalton, age 27, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away December 13, 2025. He was born in Humble, Texas on January 18, 1998. Thomas graduated from Kingwood High School in 2016, and worked in the Kingwood area doing various jobs including running his own construction business.
Thomas was a man of remarkable depth and passion. His greatest gift was his enormous heart - he consistently placed others' needs before his own and had a genuine calling to help people feel seen and known. Thomas’ big heart manifested beautifully through his Christian faith, which blossomed powerfully this year. Having read the Bible twice, he found a peace he'd never experienced before, and this transformation was visible to everyone around him. He didn't just embrace his faith quietly; he actively shared it, bringing friends to Christ and evangelizing with genuine passion.
Intellectually brilliant from an early age - knowing all the Latin names of dinosaurs and their habitats by age three - Thomas approached life with that same intense curiosity throughout his years. When something captured his interest, he didn't just dabble; he dove in completely, immersing himself in new hobbies with characteristic enthusiasm.
His charismatic personality and infectious laugh drew people to him naturally. Whether greeting his family with his signature "What's up Daddio? / What’s up Momma / Sup Sissy" or sharing his latest passion with family and friends, Thomas had a gift for connection. He took pride in many things - his tattoos, his travels, his coin collection - but nothing mattered more to him than family. He loved and cherished his cats, loved fishing, and was incredibly proud of his smart and sweet sisters.
Thomas was reunited Saturday night with those who went before him - his Grandfather Roger Alec Campbell, Uncle Timothy Dalton, his beloved cat Maggie, and his childhood dogs Buddy and Lucky. Thomas is survived by his loving parents: mother Colleen Campbell, father Scott Dalton, and stepmother Katherine Dalton. He leaves behind his cherished sisters Victoria Dalton, Julia Dalton, and Lauren Campbell; his maternal grandmother Celine Campbell; his paternal grandfather Alvin Dalton and step-grandmother Sheryl Dalton; and his paternal grandmother Carolyn Dalton. He is also survived by many devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, the transformation we witnessed in him this year and the peace he found through his faith offer comfort that he is now experiencing that peace eternally.
His legacy lives on in every person he helped feel known and seen, in every friend he brought to faith, and in the love he poured into his family. Thomas lived with purpose, loved without reservation, and left this world having fulfilled his calling to help others.
