Victoria was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to her parents Robert and Arline Singer. She was the youngest of two, and she absolutely adored her older brother, Jeff. They spent the majority of their youth going on wild and unforgettable adventures.
At the age of four, she and her immediate family moved to Mexico where she grew up. She was always so wise, and at the young age of 16 she graduated high school, moved back to Texas, and began her freshman year at Baylor University where she received her Bachelor’s in Journalism. Post graduation she stayed in the U.S., and dipped her toe in commercial real estate, but later found her passion in the tourism industry. She served as the Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Laredo and San Marcos, TX where she developed marketing strategies and programs for solicitation of conventions, groups, consumer businesses, and liaised marketing strategies between the U.S. and Mexico.
Victoria and her husband Juan, attended grade school together in Cuernavaca, Morelos, and later reconnected at an engagement party in 1997. They were married 6 months later. Post-wedding, Victoria moved back to Mexico with Juan and his son Juan Jose, who she later adopted as her own. In 2000 they were blessed with their daughter Samantha, and she was their answered prayer. In 2006, they decided to move back to The States, and settled in The Woodlands, TX. She lived her days volunteering for the community, studying her Bible, walking her dogs, baking cookies, and leaving an unforgettable mark on the world.
Victoria was the most selfless mother, wife, and friend. She loved her people fiercely, and set an unmatched example to those around her. Her faith ran deep; she was a true woman of God, and spent every second she could warring for The Kingdom. Up until her last breath she praised Jesus. Through every high and every low, she stood strong. Her tenacity, resilience, and strength left people in awe. She never once complained of her situation. She never once shed tears for the diagnosis; she simply rejoiced in the Lord, and trusted in His plans. She left this world with an angelic smile on her face, surrounded by her family, an everlasting reminder that she made it to the Lord’s paradise. There is not a day that will go by, that we will not miss her. There are not enough words to adequately describe how proud of her we are, and how blessed we were to know her and love her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Joseph Singer and Arline Myrna Singer. She is survived by her husband Juan Alberto Salcedo, son Juan Jose Salcedo, daughter Samantha Salcedo and future son in law Walker Paschall. She is also survived by her brother Jeffrey Singer, his wife Sandra, and their children and grandchildren.
