Vincent Thomas Persicano made his grand entrance into the world on February 19, 1962, and the world has never been the same. Born in Clearwater, Florida to Rachel Ann Persicano and Vincent Anthony Persicano he joined the large Catholic Italian family of 4 girls, (Barbara, Diane, Minna, and Carol) and 4 years later his brother Michael, completed the Persicano clan.
The Persicano’s moved to Houston Texas when Vinnie was around ten years old. He served as an alter boy in the church, played baseball and football in junior high, and played High school football.
While he was in High School, Vinnie worked part-time at a florist. As fate would have it, he delivered flowers to Cheryl Montgomery on Valentines Day 1980, which began their amazing love story.
Upon graduation from Spring Branch High School at the age of 17, he got a job in the Power Industry as a mechanic’s helper, then welder, through several other positions and ended up as Maintenance Manager over W.A. Parish Power Plant. His career spanned 42 years with the same company and many coworkers that became close friends.
Vinnie and Cheryl were married in June 1982. They were young (19) and anxious to start their family. Their son, Vincent, was born a year and a half later in October 1983, and their daughter Michelle perfected their little family in February 1988.
Vinnie’s quick wit, fun loving nature, hard work ethic, and his absolute love of his family, is what made him so endearing to all that knew him.
And while we are saddened by the loss of a friend, a brother-in-law, a brother, a son, a dad, husband, and Papa to his two Grandchildren, we find peace in knowing that he is reunited with his son, Vincent Wayne, and his father Vincent Anthony. The three Vincent’s are now together.
Vinnie was preceded in death by his Father, Vincent A. Persicano, his son, Vincent W. Persicano, his Mother-in-law Valene Parrott, father-in-law Johnny Parrott, his nephew Jacob Goldapp, Great Niece, Celia Aplin, and best friend Robert “Butch” McDivitt.
Vinnie is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Lynn Persicano, his daughter Michelle, and his Grandsons Kaidyn(13) and Hunter(7), his Mother, Rachel A. Persicano (née D’amato), four sisters and one brother; Barbara (Lynn), Diane (John), Minna (Jim), Carol, Michael (Phyllis), as well as 6 nieces, 1 niece/God daughter, 7 nephews, and their families, 5 Great nieces, 7 great nephews.
His 4 Sisters-in-law; Angela (Don), Linda (Fred), Valene, and Charlene, 2 nieces, 7 nephews, and their families, 2 Great nieces, 2 Great nephews, his close friend, B.J. Hruzek, and too many friends and co-workers to name.
