Where does the time go?
For Bill it was a long adventure filled life. Bill had some great friends – Buzzy, Norman and was a brother to sister Edna (His favorite), and brothers Donald, Robert, and George Jr.. Bill was a soldier in the U.S. Army serving in Alaska and Panama. Bill was the owner and operator of Imperial Trucking in Pearland Texas. Bill had many spouses, but his favorite was Candy. Bill was a father of a son, Tim.
Early in life: Bill had a very difficult childhood. Bill made it to the 4th grade, before he dropped out to work on farms and in orchards (sometimes stealing oranges to survive). Bill also hopped trains to explore outside of his native St. Petersburg Fl, and lied about his age to join the U.S. Army at the age of only 14.
Midlife: Bill was a fan of women, whiskey, gambling, and fishing. Bill exemplified the term work hard and play hard. Bill built his trucking company from the ground up and then living life to the fullest by traveling\fishing the coast on his yacht with friends.
Later in life: Bill enjoyed the quiet life, watching wildlife, talking to neighbors and sneaking a sugary treat when Candy wasn’t watching.
Other things about Bill: Bill was a rustler (that’s a real cowboy for you city folks), a hustler (once winning a restaurant in a bet), a champion greyhound breeder, an avid hunter, a staunch Republican and a teller of many tales. If you didn’t feel insulted or have your beliefs questioned when speaking to Bill, then you didn’t really know him. I believe Bill provoked you just to see what you were made of, and spur on a conversation.
Preceeded in death by parents Eleanor and George Sr., siblings Edna, Donald, Robert, and George Jr., William “Bill” E. Rowe is survived by spouse Candy, son Tim, daughter in-law Tamra, grandkids Kirstyn & Alexander.
