Blanche was born on May 5, 1925 in Columbus County, NC, daughter of the late Joseph and
Elbine Rhodes.
In 1946, Blanche married Wayne Williamson, they were married for 67 years.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Wayne T. Williamson in 2013 and all of her brothers and sisters.
She was loved by all who knew her and was like a mother to all her nieces and nephews. Blanche, as a classic southern cook and her relatives were always anxious to partake of her chicken and dumplings and her award winning biscuits at family reunions. Blanche was a very strong Christian lady of the Baptist Faith. She was a faithful member of Calvary Temple Church and the Church of Tomorrow.
Blanche will be missed by her family and friends and all who knew her. But our loss is Heaven's gain. She had a great desire to meet her Savior and be with her husband and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Thomasville Funeral Home, and will be officiated by Rev. Terry Boles and Rev. Huey Turner. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery in Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Thomasville Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at other times at the home of Doug and Frances Ball.
