Charlie Ray Gordon

Mr. Gordon was born January 22, 1940 in Davidson County, North Carolina to the late Mr. Charlie Everett and Carrie Kindley Gordon. He was employed and worked up until the time he was diagnosed with cancer in early April, 2010. Charlie worked at his first job at Thomasville Cabinet Work; then at Barrier and Sons, Lowders Supply, Modern Carving and Perfect Touch Furniture. He loved working in the woodworking industry. Charlie will be missed by many and loved by all.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; twin siblings, Gurley Dean and Shirley Jean Gordon; brother, Bobby Lee Gordon, Sr.; niece Debbie Ann Gordon.

He is survived by his only loving son, Curtis Ray Gordon and wife Rita Sue; grandson, Everett Ray Gordon; granddaughter, Shannon Marie Gordon Bailey and her husband Jason; great grandson Jaydan Caleb Bailey; niece, Julia Ann and nephew Bobby Lee Gordon, Jr.; many cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Thomasville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 10th at 2:00 P.M. at Thomasville Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Bingham officiating; followed with interment at Clarksbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.
