Constance Catherine "Kitty" Woods Trotter

Kitty was born September 25, 1928 in Guilford County to the late Herman Ray and Mary Jones Woods.

Kitty was very active in her community. She served in the Bent Twig Garden Club, Thomasville Woman’s Club, Silver Valley Civitan Club as a volunteer and worker, Square Dance Club, Oak Hill WMU and Meals on Wheels. Kitty loved helping others but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Beauford Trotter, Sr.

Kitty is survived by a son, J.B. Trotter, Jr. and wife Marie of Thomasville; daughters, Sherry Bowers and husband Ken of Thomasville, Pam Rice and husband Frankie of Wilson; brothers, Herman Ray “Buddy” Woods, Jr., Harold Woods, Wayne Woods; sisters, Doris Wright, Judy McDaniel, Wanda Evans; grandchildren, Jay Trotter and wife Meghan, Dawn Ingram and husband Brian, Adam Litwin and wife Nichole, Lee Rice, Jamie Rice, Kyle Bowers, Seth Bowers and wife Jennifer, Rhyne Bowers and wife Colleen; eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 pm Friday, December 28, 2012 at Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church on Tower Road followed with a 2:00 pm Home Going Celebration in the church chapel with Reverend Gary Myers and Dr. Keith Carroll officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
