Debbie Kay Buffkin

Mrs. Debbie Kay Buffkin, 53, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Lexington Medical Center.

Debbie was born on January 26, 1961 in Davidson County. She had worked in the furniture industry for many years.

Surviving is her husband, Franklin Dale Bufkin of the home and her dog Ottie; her daughter, Sabrina Kay Sanders and her husband Justin David Sanders, and her grand dog, Gator David Sanders. Also surviving is her son, Christopher Paul Whitaker; three grandchildren, Bryan Whitaker, Joshua Whitaker, and Savannah Whitaker; her mother, Carol Foley and husband Son; her brother, Mark Parnell and his wife Sonya; a sister Stephanie McNair and her husband Steven, step brothers, Wayne Foley, Earl Foley; step sisters, Laura Farlow, Shelby Farlow, Patsy Foley, and Martha Brock and her husband Benny. Debbie is also survived by 2 Nephews Travis and Jacob.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Christian Cathedral Church on E. Holly Grove Rd. The immediate family will gather at the home of her daughter, Sabrina Sanders, 3220 Fuller Mill Rd., Thomasville, from 12 until 3 pm Wednesday and other times at the home of her mother, Carol Foley, 295 Clinard Rd., Thomasville, on Wednesday any time until 3 pm.
