Jamie devoted nearly three decades of his life to serving others. His career included 24 years with Davidson County 911 Communications and 3 years as a Dispatcher with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. His dedication to public service extended to the fire service, beginning at Southmont Fire in 1995 and continuing at Midway and Welcome Fire until 2021. In 2024, his health prevented him from serving any further, and he retired from Davidson County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Everhart; and his sister, Penny Crabb.
He is survived by his brother, Johnny (Kimberly) Crabb; his two sons, Alex Everhart and Levi Everhart; and his grandson, Damion.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2025, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, located at 18 Randolph Street, Thomasville, NC. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will then take place at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
