A resident of this area all of his life, Jeff was born on January 1, 1966 in Davidson County to the late Buddy and Janie Kindley Hicks. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked in furniture for many years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and going to the mountains.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas and Randy Hicks, and a granddaughter, Vanessa Cannon.
Surviving are his wife, Vida Hale Hicks of the home; four children, Mark Beck, Jr. of Thomasville, Jennifer Cannon and husband Carey of Lexington, Brandon Hancock of Thomasville, and Bradley Hancock of the home; brother, Greg Hicks; and six grandchildren, Kainin, Natalie, Chase, Ethan, Brielle, Haleigh.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
