John Henry "Junior" Fowler Jr.

Mr. John Henry “Junior” Fowler, Jr., 77, of Cashatt Rd., passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Genesis Triad Health Center in High Point.

A resident of this area all of his life, Mr. Fowler was born on February 1, 1937 in Davidson County to the late John Henry Fowler Sr. and Martha Wood Fowler. He had worked as a masonry contractor for many years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, bible studies, deep sea fishing, attending car shows, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Melvin David Fowler, two sisters, and three brothers.

Surviving are his daughters, Theresa Fowler Buchanan and her husband Terry of Trinity, Letina Marie Fowler and her mother Kim Fowler, both of Lexington, and Gabreial Honeycutt of Archdale; and son, Robert Keith Fowler and his wife Jenny of Archdale. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Misty Doyle, Michelle Medford, Bailey Ring, David Fowler, and Juliana and Jordan Gunter; eight great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Cain of High Point; and brother, Doug Fowler of Thomasville.

A celebration of Mr. Fowler’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, August 30th in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Rev. Randy Kinley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his granddaughter, 3964 Shannon Drive, Trinity, NC 27370.
