Kay Otela Davis Roark

Born September 27, 1940, in Macon County, Kay was the daughter of the late James Fred and Lilly Pendergrass Davis. She had been a member of Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church for 24 years. She enjoyed family beach vacations and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kay was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Roark; five sisters; three brothers; and two grandchildren, Kelly Mashburn and Misty Varner.

Surviving are her children, Debbie Bentley of Archdale, Jeannie Mashburn and husband Rusty of Thomasville, Patty Ramey and husband Jamey of Thomasville, Tony Mashburn and wife Barbara of Archdale, Wendy Mashburn of Trinity, Joann Wagner of Thomasville, Shelby Berrier and husband Roger of High Point, Wanda Aikens and husband Keith of Trinity, and Ricky Roark of Archdale; sister, Zoe A Stillwell and husband David; brother, Carl Davis and wife Marie; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of Kay’s life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church, 1021 W. Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, officiated by Pastor Junior Hutchins. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
