Martha was born in Davidson County, North Carolina on January 21, 1943 to John William Hill Sr. and Beulah Sink Hill. She was married to Bobby Wayne Gales on May 12, 2001. Martha retired from Brasscraft after working for 35 years in customer service. She was an active member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a kindhearted, giving and loving wife and friend to all who knew her.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, John William Hill Sr. and Beaulah Sink Hill; niece and spouse, Glenda and Mike Freezor;and stepdaughter, Sandra Kaye Gales Lambeth.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of eighteen years, Bobby W. Gales Sr. of the home; stepson, Bobby “Wayne” Gales II; nephew, Tony Hill;great nephews and spouses, Brian and wife Amy Freezor and children David and Lizz Freezor; stephrand grandchild and spouse, Jason and Tiffany Lambeth and children, Bobby Wayne Gales III and wife Jerri and children, Joshua and Cecily Lapradd; step grandchild, Brook Lambeth and children, Jordan Lapradd and children, Jessica Gales and child, Mary Gales and step grandson Rodney Wayne Lepradd.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Thomasville Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Craver officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Thomasville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Martha’s name to The Southside Baptist Church Building Fund at 712 Fisher Ferry St. Thomasville, NC 27360.
