Mildred Wagner Miller

THOMASVILLE – Mildred Wagner Miller, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born in Davidson County, NC on May 9, 1935 to Occo Wagner and Lucinda Dyer Wagner. Mildred was a kind and gentle person who was loved by all who knew her. She was a loving mother and a great friend. She cared deeply for others, and was a caregiver for those in need, especially to her neighbors.

Mildred worked for several years as a ward secretary at Community General Hospital and several years at TFI Plant D, from which she retired. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, dancing, and painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Miller, and her daughter, Rhonda Autry Wike.

Surviving are her daughters, Janice Barber and her husband Dale, Toni Miller, and one son Randy Miller and his wife Gwen; her grandchildren, Katherine Grooms and her husband Joe, Stephanie Piñero and her husband Eric, and Abby Barber; her great grandchildren, Brandi, Elizabeth, Alisha, Sebastian, and Sophia.

Due to COVID concerns, a private family service and burial will be held at Holly Hill Cemetery. The ceremony will be led by Daniel Gardner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davidson Medical Ministries at 611 Randolph St, Thomasville, NC 27360.
