Nina was born November 16,1941, in Davidson County, the daughter of the late Edward Lee Richardson and Ruth K. Thayer. She taught at Liberty Drive Elementary of Thomasville, NC, for 30 years. She was a graduate of High Point College. Nina loved the Lord and was a devout member of Emanuel Reformed Church.
Nina loved her students and loved her family. She was independent and strong, with a heart who took care of everyone. She had a welcoming spirit and no one was a stranger.
In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight Richardson.
Surviving are her two nephews, Bobby Richardson (Tammy) and Brent Richardson; a niece, Dawn Underwood (Rusty); and three great-nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 8, 2025, from 10:00am - 10:45am at Emanuel Reformed Church, 1170 Emanuel Church Rd, Thomasville, NC. A graveside service will follow at 11:00am in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to Thomasville City Schools, 400 Turner St., Thomasville, NC 27360, to support field trips and educational programs.
