She was born September 4, 1929 in Guilford County to the late Carl and Gertrude Heath.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Watson Heath, Charles Heath and Thomas Heath.
Peggy is survived by her beloved husband, Billy Varner of the home; sons, Tim Varner and wife Diane of Lexington, Mike Verley and wife Carolyn of Cherryville, NC; daughters, Diane Rodgers of Asheboro, Jeanette Mixon and husband Robert of Lexington, Bonny Alexander and husband Gerald of Cherryville, NC, Connie Elkins and husband Joe of Lexington; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will accept friends Saturday June 11, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomasville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday 12th at Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel; interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
