Rachel Lewis Wilson

Rachel was born in Brooklyn, PA, May 5, 1939, a daughter of the late Harold Jeremiah Lewis and Gladys Cole Lewis. She was the head cook at Hobe Sound Bible College for many years. Rachel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended Faith Community Chapel. A son, Paul Wilson, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Raymond Carl Wilson; a daughter, Priscilla Oliver and her husband Tom; two sons, Ralph Wilson and his wife Lydia and Philip Wilson and wife Jody; a daughter in law, Cindy Hartley and her husband Bruce; two sisters, Charlotte Smith and Dawn Horrock and her husband Ken; two brothers, George Lewis and his wife Margie and Donnie Lewis and his wife Bonnie; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Rachel’s life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Faith Community Chapel by Rev. Jonathan Heath. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Thomasville Funeral Home Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Carolina Christian Academy, 367 Academy Dr., Thomasville, NC 27360.
