I never got to meet Doug but BOY did I hear stories from Donna at work.   She'd have us laughing so hard about your shenanigans going on at that moment.   We all looked forward to them every day.  
I am so sorry for your loss.   I know he will be greatly missed by all.

Mandy I am so sorry. My heart breaks for you. I've been where you are and it was the hardest time I ever went through. I can tell you from being nearly 18 years out that life does go on but it will be awhile before anything makes any sense. Just know that I love you. I have since you were 6 and I always will. My condolences to all of the family.

He was so good with the girls and they loved him. We kept the girls and Alani heard me call Doug,"BABE" so that's what she called him also thought that was his name! I'm so devastated that we're not going to be able to make more memories! We love you babe 😘

I met Doug when I started dating his friend and neighbor.  Curt had several children and I had 1 Son. We use to joke  about Curt having his kids, I had my Son but Doug was "OUR" child . I had several surgery procedures.  Each time upon coming home Doug would be there waiting with Copper.  Curt and Doug would get me  settled, Copper would visit with me. 

  And then we moved away. Curt passed away and I withdrew.

  Mike, Ms Donna it broke my heart to see this. There aren't words that will take your pain away. Just know y'all are in my thoughts and prayers..

I didn't really know Doug but I know Mandy and how she talks about him! And from what he's written online and other things, but what's been said by himself and by others he was a wonderful man in all ways and he had a family that loved him dearly and a girlfriend that loved him dearly too so the world has lost a really sweet soul and I know he must be resting in heaven, and to his family I am truly sorry and have cried over losing him too and I didn't even meet him!

Me and my brother didn’t always see eye to eye — we butted heads more than a few times, like brothers do. We had our differences, no doubt about it. But underneath all that, there was a bond built on love and the stuff we both cared about. Hunting, fishing, cracking jokes, arguing over nonsense, and just being there for each other when it counted — that was us.

I always looked up to him. He was strong, stubborn as a mule, and didn’t give a damn what anyone thought. He walked his own path. I didn’t always agree with that path, but I respected the hell out of him for sticking to it.

I’ll carry the memories with me — the laughs, the fights, the early mornings in the woods and on the lake, and the late-night talks that made no sense but meant everything.

Until we meet again.

I will always love and miss you my little brother it was a true blessing to be able to be your big sister as long as I was.. I thank you God at this very moment for the opportunity and time that I was able to spend time with my Little Brother Doug. I was able to watch him from a baby boy to a grown man that which I’m able to say. I was so proud of my brother Doug in some many ways. I am a witness of my brother’s transformation through our Savior Jesus!! ❤️ Georgie
