Ronald Dale Hewett

Ronald Dale Hewett, 68, of Lexington, NC, passed away on November 29, 2025. He was born on April 9, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a devoted husband of 49 years to Diana Hewett and a loving father to Joshua Hewett and Elizabeth Johnson.

Ronald was hardworking and dedicated. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family, his friends, and his passions. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he loved teaching people how to fish and hunt.

He deserves to have his long years honored. Ronald was a man of many words, who never met a stranger. If he wasn’t telling you about fishing and hunting, he was telling you about God. He loved God and loved the word. He was always kind, generous, loving, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Hewett; children, Joshua (Melinda) Hewett and Elizabeth (Toby) Johnson; grandchildren, Brittany Hutchens (Brandon Cox), Casey Johnson, Matthew (Katie) Johnson, and Alexis Johnson; great grandchild, Ryleigh Hutchens; siblings, Gary (Linda) Hewette, Laura Manuel, and Brian (Alana) Hewette; as well as many friends and extended family members.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 5, 2025, at New Day Fellowship, 100 Kenilworth Dr., High Point, NC. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the family to help cover funeral costs.
