He was born February 26, 1938 to the late Henry and Mattie Turner.
He is survived by his beloved wife Hazel of the home; daughter, Carmen Russell; son, Kenny Turner; brother Ronnie, half brother Earl; sisters, Betty Sue, and Sandra; cousins, J.W. and Sylvia; step children, Tim, Carmen and Pam; grandchild, Alexandria; step grandchildren, Jennifer, Emily, Haley and Allison; step great grandchildren, Kaci, Maryjane, and Sally; honorary grandchildren, Faith and Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday in the Funeral Home Chapel.
