It is hard to sum up a person’s lifetime in a few words or sentences. Her’s was loving, caring and nurturing. “Momma” loved to watch television especially old movies. She enjoyed going out to eat and enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked looking at magazines and popping her “bubble wrap”, it also helped out with her arthritis. She enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and shopping weekly. Adam, her grandson 16 was the main man in her life. She talked of him often and was so proud of him now that he is learning how to drive. Mary she depended on her as her lifeline. She took mom to the stores, doctors, emergency room and for tests at the hospital. Mary and momma had a special bond one that death will not break.
My mother was a remarkable woman and a strong-willed person. She took care of herself and my brother after my father’s passing. She managed her life well and was living with my brother until the last month independently on her own. She cooked, cleaned, and took care of herself and her home. She enjoyed her independence and the comfort of being home.
The last month was difficult for her and her children. She was in and out of hospitals and nursing homes. She is with God now and has found peace.
