Peacefully, on Tuesday March 25th, 2008 at Sunnybrook Hospital - Veterans' K-Wing, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor for 62 years. Loving father of Wendy and her husband Kevin O'Brien. Cherished "Grandad" of Kyle. Doug will be missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Joan and Margaret and their families, niece Diane, as well as extended family and friends. Doug always lived his life to the fullest. He was very energetic, outgoing, friendly, warm and generous. He enjoyed many activities: sailing, flying music and golfing but his passion was his family and many friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure's Roman Catholic Church (1300 Leslie Street) on Thursday March 27th, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer society or Hospital for Sick Children.
