Albert Whalley

Surrounded by his family, he left us on Thanksgiving Day, after a quiet, courageous battle with cancer. Loving and devoted husband of Ethel (nee Hocking) for 64 wonderful years. Proud father of Cheryl (Bill Jones) and Alan (Gina). Cherished 'Gramps' to Adam, Alex, Morgan, and Maggie - who were the light of his life. Predeceased by his daughter Susan Burns and sister Doris Whitecross. Our love and sincere thanks to Dr. M. Pubben - dad's angel. Always there, always a smile, her presence always made dad's eyes dance. Our family also wishes to thank Dr. A.J. Kirshen, from the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, for his neverending compassion, honesty and humour throughout dad's journey. Friends may call on Friday, October 13th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel on Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow. Interment Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.
