When I was about 5 we moved into a house beside the Pignatelli's on Observatory Lane.  Anna was a few years older than me, but we became very good and close friends.  I remember eating lunch at Mrs. Pignatelli's house every day!!! The food was SOOOO GOOOD! Our family moved away when I was 10, but I stayed in touch with Anna off and on for years.  I am saddened to hear of her passing and wanted the family to know she (and they) will always have a special place in my heart.

I was in utter shock when I heard of Anna's death. As teacher of both Jason and Dayna, Anna befriended me early in my days at beloved St. Luke CES, and always had a smile and something warm to say whenever we met. She was a leader in the school community and a supportive parent and friend, and always a loving and devoted mother to her children. I have so many warm memories of her. To the Vettese Family, Tony, Jason, Dayna, and Emily, my deepest condolences and prayers are with you and you will remain for time to come. And so ... May God support you as you carry the burden of this loss; May God wipe away all your tears; May you know God’s love through those who comfort you; May you feel God’s arms around you in the hugs you receive from your family and friends; May you hear God’s voice in the prayers people pray for you; And may God’s joy fill your heart when others give you a reason to smile. May the soul of Anna, and all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. AMEN.

To the Vettese's and their extended family. With all my heart I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for all of you. I remember speaking to Pat a couple of weeks ago and she mentioned that Anna wasn't doing well but was in high spirits. Believe that she is in a better place and will be forever looking down on you all with pride and love. All my love to you all.

My deepest sympathy to Anna's family. I had the pleasure of working with Anna at the IUPAT. She was always pleasant, helpful, and efficient. I know that she will be greatly missed by her colleagues and family.

I have known the Vettese family for 16 years now, ever since I began JK with Emily at St. Lukes. I will never forget the countless memories I have shared with all of them; the soccer games, the trip to Blue Mountain, school band trips, and lazy summer days by the pool. All of these memories are filled with Anna's laughter and incredible heart. She was a remarkable woman who was always there for her friends and family and she will never be forgotten.

I met Anna in 1991 when our daughters Dayna and Amanda started junior kindergarden at St. Luke. We became fast friends as we had both new born baby girls in common as well. We spent many years on the PTA and Parent Council together and we also spent many years on the soccer fields together,just loving being Moms. I have to say my most precious memory of Anna is how she held me and my girls up through a very devastating time in our lives and most recently again when my family was going through our own horrifying medical crisis she reached out to us. Anna was an example to all of a truly loving, caring, strong, brave and beautiful lady inside and out. I will honor her in trying to live by that example.

Dayna's mom was a loving mother, and a caring friend to all of us. She was always so involved in the school, and was always there when we needed someone to talk to. No matter what...she would do anything to protect us, to make us happy and smile. I'll never forget walking by the Vettese house during Halloween and seeing all the decorations. I remember trick or treating and being so excited to see Dayna's house. I remember going over, and Anna always making the coolest snacks ever and always wanting to sit and talk to us. Like Anna, her children are the most kindest and caring people I've ever met. Mr. Vettese, I remember as the coolest, most gentlest father I had ever met. Even though years have gone by, I'll always remember Anna's warmest smile. Didn't matter if I was sad or angry, her beautiful smile always made me smile. That's how I'll always remember her...smiling....forever. I remember you all as the family with the best smiles. As I think and pray for the Vettese family, I close my eyes and see a beautiful angel, smiling =)
