

Today we do not say goodbye to our dear Anna, rather the angels in Heaven are saying hello. On Thursday, May 5th, 2011 at York Central Hospital in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Anna Vettese (nee Pignatelli), wife of Antonio (Tony) Vettese peacefully passed away in her 55th year. She lives on through her son Jason, her daughter-in-law Catherine, her daughters Dayna and Emily, her siblings Tony (Anne) Pignatelli, Paolo (Lynn) Pignatelli, Bruno (Deb) Pignatelli, Pat (Frank) Pacitto, Maria (Ian) Galbraith and Ray (Lucy) Pignatelli and sister-in-law Pia (Pete) Hrgetic. Anna will be greatly missed by all of her nieces and nephews. Greeting her in Heaven with open arms are her parents Angelo and Palma Pignatelli, her brothers Guido Tiribelli and Benito Pignatelli as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law Carmela and Carmine Vettese. Anna was very dedicated to her work family at the IUPAT and will be deeply missed by them. Our deepest gratitude goes to Dr. Mary Tweeddale, the doctors and the nursing staff at York Central Hospital and all of the doctors and nurses who have cared for her throughout her journey. We thank them for their relentless dedication and compassion towards Anna. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, May 8th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be held on Monday May 9th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 10295 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill (north of Major Mackenzie, east side). Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
