(nee Martin) March 7, 1948-December 21, 2007 Suddenly and unexpectedly on December 21, 2007, Dr. Barbara Jo Mellor left this life while celebrating the season with family. Devoted elder daughter of Harold and Jo Martin, loving wife of John Mellor, supportive mother of Nicholos Mellor, wonderful sister of Jane Martin, sister-in-law of Lee and Al, aunt to Elizabeth and Catherine and friend to all. Barb's love of people throughout her teaching career, her doctoral research on major life changes, and her celebration of the many events and accomplishments in the lives of family and friends were always evident. She had a wonderful sense of fun and a great zest for life. Friends may call on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 10 a.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the YMCA of Greater Toronto (North York).
