Barbara Ann Smith (Boyd)

Barbara Ann Smith (Boyd) was called home to God peacefully on September 22nd, 2017, in the presence of family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her children; Laura and Matthew (Sam), and her grandchildren; Connor, Kyla and Hayden. Also mourning the loss; her son in-law, Larry and daughter in-law, Debbie. Barbara was pre-deceased by her former husband, Canadian Photographer, Andy Smith.

Barbara, a bookkeeper/accountant, worked at the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association for over 15 years, until her retirement in 1992. Barbara's outstanding organizational skills helped to orchestrate provincial wide conferences for the association as she was known to have a "nack" for getting details accomplished.

Barbara will be remembered as a caring grandmother who loved her children, grandchildren and most importantly, her cats. She was a gentle soul who always enjoyed ice cream, singing and a good laugh.

The Smith family offers heartfelt thanks to those who helped care for Barbara in her final years with such kindness and professionalism at Seniors Health Care. They would specifically like to thank care providers, nurses and friends; Sheilla, Rose, Gloria, Rowena, Phillip and Anna. Their love, care and companionship enriched Barbara's life immensely.

Barbara was loved in life and will not be forgotten in death.
