Mrs. Carmen Uy

Uy, Carmen - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Uy in her 65th year on July 19, 2011 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto surrounded by her family. Truly beloved wife of Martin and deeply adored mother of Gary. Dearest sister of Lilian, Amelia, Fred, James, the late Erlinda and others. Cherished aunt of Jeremias (Jerry), Ethel, Emma, Sidney, Victoria (Vicky), Joshua (Josh) and others. Loving sister-in-law of Jesus (Jess), Sandra, Piang-Su, Wilbert, the late Nina and others. The family will receive friends at the Jerrett Funeral Home-Vaughan Chapel, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. where a Memorial Service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 39 Green Lane, Thornhill, Ontario on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. A reception will then immediately follow at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club. A private interment will be held at the Holy Family Mausoleum of the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Thornhill, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre and the Canadian Cancer Society would be most gratefully appreciated. We wish to say a special thank you to all the numerous physicians, surgeons and nurses of the Sunnybrook Emergency Room and the D4 Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate, tireless and dedicated service to Carmen and the family during the dreadful events of the past days.
