Dear Sallows family,
I just found out about Cathy this morning and I'm gutted. I'm gutted for all of you and the the future that you will all have to navigate without the person you love so very much a physical presence in it. And she was one of the most physical presences I've ever met.  She was one of the best reasons we had our kids at WCS, never forgetting why the school was begun and whom above all else it existed to serve and praise. Unfortunately,  I also know great loss and that yes, it is incredibly comforting to hold on to the hope that is God and our belief in the assurance that she is with him and we will continue to pray in a coming together again down the road.  But I also know that those assurances and that knowledge do not make it hurt less or the empty seat less empty. Having all of the memories while wonderful doesnt change the fact that no more can be made. Knowing where she is and with whom does not make her any less here with you. I have come to learn over these last 11 years since losing both my son and my dad that it is ok to be angry. It is normal to be jealous of God and the fact that she is with him and not you. And the pain never ever go away or become less painful. But I also want to say that she is present in and around you always and remembering will become a joy and not only pain over time. Nothing will be less but you will learn to live with it more easily and with less difficulty. And while there will always be tears there will once again be laughter and joy in your lives. In your own time. I no longer think that i know how prayer works but you all will be in mine and in my thoughts and heart. I am and always will be grateful to Cathy. When I heard the news, I prayed hard for Cathy and Steve. I was envisioning them recovering, and joyfully bouncing around the hospital, with an awe-inspiring joy that lifted the eyes of the hospital staff to heaven. I was shocked when I heard that Cathy didn’t make it. I know for sure that God knows what is best. His ways are not our ways. And yes, the Gardener can pick his roses whenever he pleases.
I pray that Cathy’s legacy would bring much glory to God. May we always remember her character and the example she set for us. What I remember, knowing her as a parent and board member at the school, is her generosity, genuine care for all people, professionalism, positivity, faith, and her personable and winsome personality.
I often arrived at the school in the double-wide Chariot bike carrier with both kids. We joked that one day we should give Mrs. Sallows a ride in it, but she said if she got in she would never be able to get out! What a funny thought. 
Many blessings to the family in this time of grieving. Surely we will see her again, one day.

I was shocked to hear of Cathy's passing and my family and I continue to remember Steve, Errington, Aleczandra, Steve, and Max, as well as all friends and relatives in prayer. 

I had the incredible blessing of working closely with Cathy during my seven years at WCS. She was such a source of wisdom, encouragement, and support to me and to all members of the school staff and community.

While everyone contributes something unique and special to where they are and the people they are with, there some, like Cathy, who have an indelible impact.

Much love and prayer to you all - the loss is immense. My thoughts and prayers continue for you - Steve, Errington, Aleczandra, Steve, and Max - as you process this and heal. The loss of a friend like Cathy leaves a hole in every circle of life that she touched. Words still fail me at this time.  However, Cathy truly had a gift for words, and I enjoyed her gift immensely whether it was a speech or a chat.  I have always been impacted by her wisdom, care, and love for God and others. I will miss our visits, sleepovers, and chats as we stayed up late  to get even more ducks in a row. Cathy’s energy and joy were hard to match and she could always be counted on for advice and wisdom whether it was in work, parenting, or personal life. Cathy’s presence and guidance is hugely missed, but she will always be remembered and I am honoured and blessed to have known her. I extend my condolences to the Sallows family on the passing (to be with the Lord) of Cathy - Dear wife, mother and grandmother as well as excellent educator. I was saddened to hear of the news of Cathy’s sudden passing but I know that because of her great faith she now resides in the loving arms of Jesus in heaven surrounded by His loving Angels. ‘Absent from the body, present with the Lord’ the Scripture teaches us. I always made it a point of thanking Cathy for allowing me the opportunity of being a part of the WCS community! It was truly a Blessing! Thank you to GOD and thank you to Cathy for that! Cathy was an excellent leader at WCS, but more importantly, she was an extraordinary human being! I will always treasure the precious memories I have of working along side her and learning from her while under her effective leadership while at WCS!
I continue to keep you all in prayer and ask our GOD to comfort you and grant you His Peace during this difficult time as He promises in His Word (Mt. 5:4).

It has taken me far too long to write on this page. I keep hoping that I will wake up one morning and this will all be just a bad dream. But alas, that is not the case. So, I now choose to celebrate this amazing woman and the impact she had on my life. (This is the last photo of us taken together.)  I was so blessed to call Cathy my friend. We worked together for many years, but she became much more than a colleauge — she was like a sister to me, a confidante, and a source of light in my days. She loved the Lord deeply, and her faith shone through in her words and actions. I’ll miss her laughter and her incredible tenacity for whatever life threw her way. Yet I know she’s home now, surrounded by the tender love of her beloved Saviour.

I remember Cathy from the very first day she came to WCS so many years ago. She has been a blessing for me ever since. Being her colleague and friend is a gift from God that I will forever be grateful for. I cannot imagine never again reading her emails or hearing her voice. The memory of her wisdom, compassion and joy will forever be cherished.
Steve, Aleczandra  and Errington I cannot find words that will ease your pain- only a prayer that in the depths of your grief you will still feel the comfort of God’s loving embrace. He is faithful.

Cathy was a colleague of mine at WCS since I started there in 2000 until her retirement. But in the last few years I got to know Cathy even more, as an amazing friend and support.
Over many years of working with Cathy I learned that she was professional, yet still personable. She always had time to listen to a parent, a student, or a staff member. 
As a teacher she was strict and expected a lot from her students, but understanding, fun, and most importantly, loving. As a principal, Cathy understood the strengths of the teachers and tried to bring them out. She loved her school. 

But even more than that, she loved her family. Cathy was so proud of Max. I loved hearing her stories of her time spent with him. She loved Aleczandra and Errington (and of course, the “other” Steve), telling stories about family trips in the summer to the cottage and any time she could have with everyone together.  And Steve, Cathy’s eyes still lit up when talking about you! From the mundane of Saturday morning grocery shopping you did together, to dinners out at Santos or Friday night pizza, Cathy loved to talk about being a teen bride to the love of her life. 

But above all, she loved her God. I so appreciated how Cathy displayed an unwavering faith in Jesus. As someone who tends to worry a lot, I was often in Cathy’s office, asking her questions and getting her opinion on something (school, home, students, my own children, etc). She would listen and give such calm advice. I remember asking once, “Cathy, how can you stay so calm?  Why are you not worried?”  And she said, “Donna, once you survive cancer the way I did, you learn to just put it on the shelf and let God take it.” 
Steve, Aleczandra, Errington, Steve, Max and extended family, my heart breaks with you that Cathy’s life was cut short. Please know that her legacy at WCS will live on,  and so will the wisdom, love and caring that she so freely gave to others. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our daughter has always said that her favourite teacher was Mrs. Sallows. She doesn’t recall a specific moment, but she remembers how warm and emotional Mrs. Sallows was - how she created space for her students to be open, expressive, and creative. That made a lasting impression.

For me, I always enjoyed spending time with Cathy and Steve when we gathered with mutual friends. The conversation was always lively, and there was so much laughter. It was simply fun being with Cathy. She had a way of lighting up a room.

I always thought Cathy dressed with such style. I remember one outfit in particular, finished off with a beautiful big yellow purse. She always looked like a lady — elegant, confident, and composed.

But more than her outward appearance, it was Cathy’s inner beauty that shone brightest. She was kind and wise — and so genuinely interested in others. She would ask thoughtful questions, really listen, and remember the little details. Later, she’d bring them up again, checking in with genuine care. That kind of attention is rare and deeply meaningful.

Cathy will be missed.  She will be forever in our hearts.

Steve, we are so sorry for your loss. May the comfort of our Saviour be especially near to you in this season. We continue to hold you in our prayers — for peace, for strength, and for healing.

Dear Steve and family,
Cathy hired me first as a supply teacher at WCS during 2020 and then as a full-time contract teacher for the grade 5 class. We instantly connected and she made me feel right at home from the beginning. I feel it was divine ordination that we were to become co-workers and fast friends. During my official interview for the full-time position, I felt compelled to share part of my personal story of how I was a newly diagnosed cancer patient that might need time off to attend some appointments. That was when Cathy, in her fullness of wisdom was able to encourage me with her journey and experience and for that I am always grateful. I was never afraid to share my ups and downs and she was never shy about being my cheerleader from the get-go. The summer after she retired, we continued to keep in touch with phone calls, texts and later on, quick visits when we used her monthly pop-ins to school to check-in and just share a hug. I started chemo, radiation and underwent surgery the first year of her retirement. When I lost my hair or when it started growing back, she was always the most enthusiastic about the new do and told me I was rockin' it. She was always full of hope which I relied on many time when I was feeling down on myself. I will always treasure the last time I saw Cathy when she dropped by on Monday (a few days before the accident) and I had returned to work part time. In true Cathy fashion, I received what was to be her last famous hug and told me I was where I was meant to be. I can never begin to understand the profound loss you are experiencing as a family, but I wanted to share how beloved Cathy she is and will always be remembered as an unforgettable principal, coworker, friend and sister-in-Christ. Continued prayers for Steve and rest of the family as you mourn the loss of our boss lady!

We were so incredibly saddened to hear of Cathy's death.  We can barely process it!  Cathy was a ray of light in this world that will never be dimmed.  Our friendship with Steve and Cathy spanned years - we are so blessed that our paths crossed.  I bought Cathy a bracelet at a time in her life I felt she needed it - I have the identical one.

Cathy has been a mentor and friend to me as I ventured into becoming a principal at  Willowdale Christian School (WCS). She guided me every single step of the way. She made herself available to me at any time, any day of the week, using whatever means: phone, text, email or in person. That was absolutely tremendous! Cathy listened and advised and prayed for me listening without any holding back. She had both my interest and the school’s interest in mind. For her deep heart – for me, the school and our God – I am so grateful. One of Cathy’s emails to me – just to show you what you might already know about her heart and trust in God – was this: “We both know that our God is good and faithful and by keeping Him in focus all the time (as opposed to what can be a human tendency to keep Him in the rear view mirror :), WCS will continue to be a beacon of light for Him in our small corner of HIs kingdom.”

These words of Truth keep hitting me. When I read that, I take in a big breath and feel that this world has lost someone special. In those moments, I am aware that Cathy’s absence leaves a gaping hole which is both acute and heart-breaking. It’s the messages and conversations, the intentional pep-talks and bantering about life and school that generate images and emotions of spending time with a giant. God made her to be and to speak at the right time and the right places. I know that.

Let me also share something a tad bit humourous and likely familiar. In the same email of overflowing goodness and gushing with kindness, Cathy immediately followed up this paragraph with a list of six things that I needed to know and stay on top of in my role as principal (yes, even though it was early July). Remember…don’t forget...what about… and on and on the list goes. I miss Cathy.

I earnestly pray for Steve and the family, trusting God that He has all of you in His sure grip. Thank you for sharing your wife and mother with WCS. Strength for the journey. Know that God is present.

Mrs. Sallows was the kindest teacher we have ever known during the time my son, who has special needs, studied at WCS. She was always positive and showed such patience toward him. Even when she had to tell me about the troubles he caused at school, she shared it with a smile, comforting me with prayers and God’s words. She was always the first person I wanted to share with whenever my son reached a milestone, and she would respond with pride and even tears of joy, long after we had left the school. Mrs. Sallows, we will miss you dearly. You will always be remembered with love by your students, friends, and family. May God comfort and heal Mr. Sallows and the whole family.

Cathy wasn’t just a principal—she was a guide, a mentor, and a true friend. When doubts clouded our hearts, she was there to speak hope. When we felt lost, she reminded us gently but firmly, “Keep praying—no matter what happens, prayers lift us up.” That simple truth, spoken with her quiet strength, stayed with us through many storms.

She stood by us not only as an educator but as someone who deeply cared. Her faith in God was unwavering, and through her actions and words, she showed us what it meant to trust Him even when things didn’t make sense. I will forever be grateful for her kindness, her encouragement, and the way she made us feel seen and supported.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—and in our hearts, she will always be remembered with love and deep respect.

Me and Cathy's last text conversation was about our new dogs. She sent me Oliver's picture. She was so happy that I got a new dog after my Cooper, whom she adored, passed away. She was a great dog lover too. 
I worked at WCS as a cleaning contractor.
Cathy was a dear superior, and a dear friend to me. She takes time to sit and talk with me when I needed one. She was a good listener. And a good advicer too.
Infact, when I lost a few of my loved ones, she was their to check on me and make sure that I am ok. She was a tight hugger, a way of expressing her feelings for me whenever I  am happy, or sad. 
I am so heartbroken when I heard that she passed. All I could do was cry. She left a big hole in my heart. She will be really missed.
To her family and relatives, may the love and peace of Christ strengthen you and may you feel His awesome presence in this very difficult situation. 
She fought a good fight. She finished the race. She is now home to her king, master and Lord.
Jesus Christ is Lord. The name above all names, be glorified forever and ever, amen.

I was so sorry to hear that Cathy has gone to be with her Saviour.  Remembering the family during this difficult time and praying the peace and comfort of Jesus to settle upon each one.  

Cathy was an amazing colleague and friend over the years we worked together at WCS.  I am filled with gratitude to God that our paths crossed.  

Her faith was deep, her joy for teaching was contagious and her desire to see students, teachers and the school flourish was inspiring. She truly was the face of WCS! I have memories of many after school conversations with Cathy that extended long after everyone had gone home. Even if her “to do” lists were waiting, she always made time to chat and listen. I admired Cathy’s perseverance and loyalty, even through difficult times.  

When I think of Cathy, the words of the apostle Paul come to mind . . . “Cathy fought the good fight, she finished the race and she kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Our family has been part of WCS for 10 wonderful years, 8 of which Cathy served as both teacher and principal. Cathy had a remarkable influence on our family, so much so that our boys became known as “Bouwma 1” and “Bouwma 2.”

I had the privilege of working alongside Cathy for 7 years on the board and the Equip to Flourish campaign. I witnessed her navigate challenging decisions with wisdom and grace, always acting in the best interest of WCS - whether managing COVID restrictions or swiftly pivoting to make online learning possible.

Cathy was a woman of faith, whose life reflected Christ’s love in all she did. She was truly one of a kind - an angel whose very essence was woven into the fabric of WCS. 

I’m saddened knowing that Cathy will no longer walk the hallways of WCS or join us at fundraisers. Keeping Steve and her daughters in my prayers during this difficult time. While we will deeply miss her, we take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord, and her legacy will continue to shine in her “ducks” and in the countless lives she touched.

Mrs. Sallows was like a mother to every student. She never missed a chance to say, “Good morning”, "Have a great day" and gave a smile to everyone, whether you were new to the school or had graduated.  

She was an excellent principal. She led with her heart, with strong acumen to make things happen. I remember when my daughter asked if there could be a girls’ basketball team.  Mrs. Sallows helped form it even there weren't coaches available.That was her way of listening, understanding, caring, connecting, and finding a way forward.   She always gave her time to listen and answer to questions, no matter how trivial or non-trivial they are, from students.

After she retired, she came back to visit her school, lending her support during transitions, reconnecting old and new families at the school’s anniversary celebration, and serving as a special advisor to the Equip to Flourish project. She was dedicated, with a strong work ethic, always make time to offer support to help the school thrive.

Mrs. Sallows’ vitality and service remain an inspiration and role model to the school community she anchored with such courage, love, and strength.

After ‘meeting’ Cathy Sallow’s during a virtual tour of WCS, I told my husband, “that’s who I would want to work for if I were to go back to teaching again.” Knowing that Cathy was in charge gave me peace and the confidence to know that my children would be in good hands learning and building a foundation based on God’s truth under her care. Seeing her smiling face and being greeted by her each morning were always a highlight. Hearing encouraging words from her about mothering gave me hope. Although I never got to work with Cathy, I am so grateful for the short time my family had under her leadership at WCS. Cathy is sorely missed but we are comforted knowing that she is at home in the arms of her Saviour. Deepest condolences to her family, praying the Lord’s healing and peace upon you during this time.

Cathy was the highlighted example of compassion. When my children and I came to this school we came during I am of secular and spiritual warfare. She opened her heart to my children she treated them like her own.  My son would often say, “ She a grandma principal.” The love she showed me and my children in our time of need will never go unnoticed. The times we sat in her office and prayed together for my children and I battled through the things we call life.  Has held such value to me.

I remember one time being so sick I wasn’t able to get out of bed with a fever. Cathy and Miriam UBER’d the children supper on my behalf and just those little moments of love showed her heart was so pure and unwavering.

We have lost one of Gods greatest blessings, but our King has gained such joy by her presence with him.

I met Cathy when I was so confused and frustrated about how to handle my daughter's special need. She was the first educator that encouraged us and gave us hope. We decided to send my daughter to WCS and she has been thriving! I am forever grateful for meeting her and her care for us.

Mrs. Sallows was the reason we chose to send our children to Willowdale Christian School. From our first interview with her, we knew she was passionate about Christian education & that she loved the students and the families attending the school. We were also convinced that she loved & wanted the best for the staff she served as Principal there. 
We cannot believe that she's gone...we were devastated to find out that this was the outcome of that horrific crash....
She was such a bright light in this world, a happy soul greeting her students every morning with a smile on her face - no matter the weather! She  cared for those around her & was so encouraging to so many! We need more people like her in this world - not less. 
As we mourn her loss together with her family & so many others, we know that she is by her Savior's side and no doubt, she is happy!

To Steve, Errington, & Aleczandra,
I received a call from someone at Bayview Glen today telling me about Cathy.  I am so heart-broken to hear this news and send my love, hugs, and prayers to all three of you.  It has been a few years since I've seen Cathy, but I do think of her often.  (She had one particularly interesting story that I often share with others).  

My memories of Cathy are, of course, working on the Children's Christmas musicals year after year at Bayview Glen.  She was my "right-hand man".  She would take the actors away to practice each Sunday while I stayed in the classroom and taught the music to the rest of the children.  And then she was always by my side conferring and making suggestions throughout the three hour rehearsals several Sunday afternoons in a row.  Those are fond memories for me and she was a great help to me.

 I also invited Cathy to go with me on a Christian Education conference.  We had a great time at the beautiful hotel and eating in the nicest restaurants we could find!  But she also, being a little older than me, spoke some "big sisterly" wisdom into my life at that time, which I greatly appreciated.  I will remember her with great fondness and am comforted to know she is with the Jesus we sang about together.

We are heartbroken by the news of Cathy’s death.  We had the pleasure of getting to know her at the many R.S. Kane team events when we all came together like a family.  Cathy always had a smile on her face and was quick to share stories about her school and how much she loved all the kids she worked with.

I met Cathy when we were both in the HR world, and she quickly took me under her wing. She had a way of seeing potential in people and giving them the nudge they needed. Cathy introduced me to her husband Steve, and through her encouragement, I found my way into funeral service — a path that has shaped so much of my life.

I’ll always remember her kindness, her faith, and the way she believed in others. She had such a gift for lifting people up, and I’m grateful she shared that gift with me.

As St. Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” That verse feels so true of Cathy’s life — lived with purpose, strength, and faith to the very end.

Our family had the privilege of knowing Cathy for the past 8 years when we decided to send our three kids to WCS.  My son was  starting grade 6 at WCS while my girls were entering grades 4 and 2.  Cathy was there to encourage me as my kids made this transition.  

Cathy loved the Lord and all her students, and her love for  her family, "her" school and Christian Education was very evident.  As a parent it was such a blessing to see her each morning at the gate as she welcomed each student by name!  She made sure each student got a hello as she took the time to really get to know them all as well as all of us parents.  Cathy's office door was always open and she always took the time to chat and pray for parents and encourage them.  

It has been heartbreaking to hear of the passing of Cathy.  She will be missed by so many.  May the Lord comfort and give strength to her family during this difficult time as we continue to pray for  Steve as he recovers. May you be encouraged in knowing her legacy will live on for many year in all the lives of students, teachers, and parents that Cathy had encouraged and ministered to over the years she spent at WCS. 

She is now at home with her Lord and Saviour and I'm sure she is telling everyone up there about her awesome Grandson Max! Until we meet again...

We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our cousin Cathy. Growing up in Burlington,  our dad (Bruce) and Cathy's mom (Marion) were close siblings and we spent many hours with her family as kids. As the babies of the family we looked up to our grown cousins. I always remember Cathy as having a very joyful presence. Although we went our separate ways, we recently reconnected (as my sister Elizabeth now lives in the London area). We met for dinner and had a great reunion and a big chat. We were looking forward to spending time together as a family and creating new memories. I am so sorry that we won't be able to do that. My deepest condolences to Steve and the family as you navigate this difficult time.

Mrs. Sallows was like a light that shined Jesus so brightly to others. She also has lit up the Light to many people surround her. 
When we came to her in school for discussion, she gave an honest advice that impacted our children's bringing up. 

We're greatly blessed and honored to get to know her.

To Mrs. Sallows' family, may God gives you all the strength and comfort during this time. She's joining the saints now and when Jesus returns, we shall all be together in God's kingdom.

We are a family with a child who used to attend WCS, and we are so deeply sorry for your loss... We knew the school was right for us once we met Cathy.  As a leader, she was strong yet gentle, wise yet playful, and compassionate yet maintained good boundaries. Her heart and hope was that no one would feel shame. What a blessing she was to us and to so many.... 
In addition, Cathey  certainly talked about her family and grandson a lot (in a beautiful way)- and her face would light up! She loved big.

So sorry for your loss your mom was a beautiful person only knew her a short time. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time..

It seems silly to even be saying how wonderful Cathy was because every person who knew her already knows.
But she truly was an individual who brought love and light into the lives of so many - young and old alike.
I'm so deeply sorry and saddened by her untimely passing, but from everything I observed, Cathy was solid in her faith,  a forgiving soul who will be met with an even greater measure of grace in heaven... and I'm certain that Jesus has words of praise for all that she did and gave and was in His name.

I knew Cathy as both Teacher and Principal at WCS, and I worked closely with her as a member of the Board. She was a godly role-model to everyone and spoke wisely into every situation.  I learned so much from her approach!  The Covid pandemic tested her leadership abilities, but she “rose to the occasion” with both compassion and determination.  Her legacy will be felt for years within the school community, and her memory treasured by those who loved her.

From the day that I met her, Cathy was constant source of encouragement and mentorship. In my teaching practice, she would always give specific praise and recognition of my talents while encouraging me to grow in areas that I needed. On my prep periods, I would sometimes come up with an excuse to go to the office. It would often be for advice but would often turn into moments of sharing about our lives with each other. She was a motherly figure to me during a time when I was still grappling with the death of my mother. Cathy was a person whom I never said goodbye to. When I resigned at WCS, she was one of my biggest cheerleaders when I told her my goal of teaching in the Northwest Territories. I would periodically send her pictures I took of wildlife and updates which she always enjoyed and seemed to want more of. Whenever we parted ways, I always made a point never to say “goodbye” but always would say “until we meet again.” Cathy and I had our last “until we meet again” this past summer. I deeply feel the loss of a dear mentor and friend. But I know she rests in the arms of our Lord. I take joy in knowing her legacy and impact will long be remembered by those who were blessed to have her in their lives. Cathy, the words “well done, good and faithful servant” suit you well and I can’t wait until we meet again.

We are members of Willowdale Christian School and have known Cathy for about five years. Her absence as our school principal is apparent in so many ways, even two years after retiring. It is because she was still willingly, passiontely and lovingly mentoring our current one. But Cathy probably came around because she  loved and missed her school community and truth be told, we missed her too. Even in death, memorial donations have been set up for the place that changed her, have changed others and will continue to change children after her.  In this way, many more will be changed by her.  Cathy, we miss you more than words can ever be spoken. May you rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I have had the privilege of being Cathy and Steve’s next-door neighbour since they made the move to London and our entire community has been blessed with their presence. With the ever faithful Oliver at their side they quickly got to know everyone and became a cared for and appreciated couple.

My thoughts and prayers are with Steve, the girls and the extended family in trying to cope with this tragic  and far too early exit from their lives.   

I am certainly grateful for the short time she was in my life and mourn her passing.   And I truly hope that in time the incredible memories experienced and shared by so many will provide some comfort.

My heart is so broken I send you all my love, prayers and my heartfelt condolences we have truly lost a beautiful soul, I have known Cathy for 14yrs, I’m the school bus driver for Willowdale Christian School, and along with the staff Cathy always treated me like part of the family.

We have been very close friends of Cathy and Steve for more than 40 years,  I worked with Cathy for many years, we have vacationed with them, shared many movies and meals with them, shared the birth of their beautiful daughters, and even their ever-changing canine and feline "babies".  For a long time we were virtually inseparable , and since we moved away we have spent Christmas Eves with them until they too moved away in the opposite direction.   Our hearing of this disastrous loss came to us directly from Steve from his hospital bed.  This news has totally stunned us and for days it was constantly in our thoughts. We are both  sickened and grieved by this tragic and senseless loss.  It makes us value our daily lives and appreciate how, in an instant, everything can change and be destroyed.  We send our love and sympathies to Steve and Alexzandra and Errington, Steve 2 and Max, and all the family.

What an unspeakable loss.  My thoughts are with Stephen and the entire Sallows family.   I am proud and fortunate to call her friend.  Continued prayers for Stephen’s recovery.

Every memory of Cathy is of love, laughter and a sense of caring for others that goes beyond words. Her    smile will come to mind each time she is thought of.
