Charles Edward Harrison

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck Harrison on February 16, 2008, at the age of 81. Predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet (nee Grayson). Devoted father and father-in-law to Barbara, Cathy (David Racine) and Nancy (Derrick Gleed). Cherished grandfather to Gareth, Adam and Amanda. Loving brother-in-law to Norma and Jim Trebett of Nanaimo, B.C. Chuck will be fondly remembered by his uncle Eddie of Calgary, his nephews Dave, Rick and Tom of Vancouver Island, his cousins and many friends. Chuck began his distinguished career with the T. Eaton Company in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and during his 49 years made invaluable contributions serving in several senior management roles, culminating in his position as General Manager of the Toronto Suburban Stores. In his retirement, Chuck continued his love of retail by volunteering as a consultant with The Salvation Army for their retail outlet stores. The family will receive friends at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding Avenue, south of Steeles, on Thursday, February 21st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 22nd at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Chuck's friendship, guidance and love will be greatly missed.
