
DANIEL EDWARD WILLIAM FOX passed peacefully on August 16, 2021 at Extended Care Bayview with his beloved caregivers by his side. Daniel Edward William Fox is pre-deceased by his wife Evelyn Fox (nee: McKerron). He is survived by his only daughter, Lydia Fox Caldwell and spouse Kerry Mitchell. His grandchild, Michael David Wright, and his beloved three great grandchildren, Cameron Elijah Martin, Ava Laren Wright, and Gabriel Amelia Wright.
At 97 and a half years old he truly was a walking piece of history. He received much accreditation during his career as a R.A.F. Airman in England during the Second World War. Receiving the Ministry of Defense in London 1939-1945 Star, The France and Germany Star, Defense Medal and the World Medal 1939-1945. He survived the battle of Normandy and was there when Germany surrendered. Although originally from county cork Ireland, he grew up outside London, England. During the war he also met a lovely Scottish nurse who became his late wife, Evelyn. The two were married in 1949 at the St. Georges Chapel in Toronto, Ontario.
Daniel Edward William Fox will be remembered as a loving father and husband, who was devoted to family and loved every moment he spent with them. His life was about honour, respecting others and compassion. He was an amazing example of one being a servant of God.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff at Extended Care Bayview for their amazing, compassionate and loving care.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
