David Todd Lister

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of David on the evening of Monday October 6, 2008. Loving father to son Todd, daughter Joanna (Trevor), special Granddad to baby Greyson and Kaitlyn, and "Big Pupster" to Geoffrey, Nikki (Tenn), Victoria and Jacob. Special friend and life partner to Christine. David will be deeply missed by his sister Jennifer, brother Robin (Gilda), his many nieces and nephews, and the many people too numerous to mention, whose lives he touched with his generosity and kind spirit. David was a force to behold in the piping industry for most of his working life making it possible for him to travel to the far corners of the world forging long-term friendships with many of his business colleagues. His life was interesting and exciting to say the least. He took pride in being knowledgeable and passionate in everything he did, which earned him the respect and love of all who knew him. In honour of David's memory a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday October 18, 2008 at 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles) David was a true humanitarian and named Habitat for Humanity his favourite charity. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to this charity would be appreciated.
