Left to mourn are her dear and cherished husband of 56 years, Umberto, her three loving and devoted children, Lori-Anne (Lee), Karen (Jerry) and Robert (Machiko) and her five beautiful granddaughters who brought her endless pride and joy, Alexandra, Julia, Clarice, Stella and Gemma.
She has gone to rest with her mother Christina, father Lambro and all her siblings who have gone before her.
Diana will always be remembered as a loving mother who cared for her family above all else and cherished every moment she spent with them.
She had a passion for all things culinary whether watching her favourite cooking shows, making traditional dishes like zelnik and pizza or eating out at her favourite restaurant, The Mandarin. But most of all, she looked forward to having all her loved ones gathered around her.
Diana always lit up a room. With her quick wit and love of laughter, she made friends wherever she went. Her memory was unmatched and she loved recounting tails of her youth.
She also enjoyed travelling, and had been across Canada, the United States, Japan and Italy.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the 9-East Staff and the Dialysis Unit at Humber River Regional Hospital and Villa Colombo for their compassionate care.
Mom suffered so many health issues but never lost her zest for life. We are so saddened to lose her but take comfort in knowing she's finally at peace.
Visitation is open to the public. A private funeral service will be held for the family on Monday, by invitation only.
