With his family by his side, on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 77. Treasured husband of Nicolina. Loving father of Joe (Pauline), Frank (Vivian), and Fabio (Henna). Cherished Nonno of Thomas, Andrew, Adriana, Daniel, Grace, and Katerina. Dear brother of Angelo (the late Elizabeth) and Terrence. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Ida. Beloved son-in-law of Maria Meffe. Domenico was loved and will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins in Canada, U.S.A., and Italy. Born in Cerreto, Italy, came to Canada as a young man and started a successful bricklaying partnership. Earned respect and friendship of many colleagues in the industry. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his extended family and many friends, following his favourite sports teams, including those of his grandchildren, and current events. He spent many enjoyable days with his friends at the Richmond Hill Italian Recreation Club. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Toronto General Hospital. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon Roman Catholic Church (92 Steeles Ave. W.). Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
